In 2016, the Wisconsin School of Business (WSB) launched the Business Emerging Leaders (BEL) program. BEL — fully funded by an anonymous donor — offers top-performing high school students from diverse backgrounds the chance to explore an education in business and earn a four-year tuition scholarship. Following their seven-year journey, the inaugural cohort of 17 scholars graduated in May 2022, and in that time, they’ve had a profound effect on the UW campus, building a community for generations to come.
“These are leaders who will shape the future of business, and I can’t wait to see the impact they make,” shares Jim Franzone, assistant dean of WSB’s undergraduate office.
